Sanborn Playground Renovation Fundraiser

Help Us Raise $50,000 for a Safer, Happier, More Inclusive Play Space

Our Sanborn Elementary community is coming together to build a playground that truly reflects the students who are full of energy, creativity, and joy. The Colleen E. Ritzer Memorial Fund is partnering with the Sanborn PTO on this fundraising initiative as Colleen was a Sanborn Alumni. The Ritzer Fund has generously donated $100k towards the playground.

With your help, we’re raising the additional $50,000 to renovate and enhance the outdoor play area so every child can learn, climb, slide, and explore in a space that’s safe, modern, and inclusive.

Please note: All funds raised for the playground are kept entirely separate from the Sanborn PTO’s general operating funds.

Our commitment to YOU:

Transparency

We pledge to provide information on PTO expenses and sources of income, and to be clear when an event or program is a fundraising opportunity. For example, did you know that after instructors are compensated, Explorations is a fundraiser for the PTO? So, thank you for enrolling!

Responsibility

The Sanborn PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization, so it is our responsibility to spend down the funds we raise each year while carrying forward a small “rainy day” fund for leaner times.

Predictability

We seek to establish a predictable cycle of fundraising. This will include a few larger fundraising events and smaller “passive” fundraisers. This will help all of us know what to expect!

Engagement

Did you know you can give directly to the PTO, any time of year and any gift size, and make a tremendous difference for the Sanborn experience? A $20 gift provides field trip bus transportation for 4 students; a $100 gift buys cushions and flexible seating for a first grade classroom; a $500 gift brings an enrichment program for the entire third grade.

We couldn't do any of this without the Sanborn community, so THANK YOU for your continued support.
